I Taped My Mouth Shut for 30 Nights (Part 1)

It might sound crazy – dangerous even – but it works. It worked for Jaimi, it worked for Beau, and hopefully, it will work for this video. Breathing through your mouth is known to impact your health in a variety of not-so-desirable ways. 😪If you breathe this way every night when you’re asleep, you’re not going to have good facial posture or adequate oxygenation. If you feel groggy every time you wake up, need to fortify your sinuses, or if you need long-term orthodontic adjustment, taping your mouth shut at night might be the right first step. 🤔Will you suffocate? Will our willing participant, Frank, suffocate? Watch the video to find out!

What is Mouth Taping, and how does it work?

Mouth taping is a common at-home therapy for encouraging nasal breathing while sleeping. People tape their lips shut at night for a variety of reasons, including snoring and foul breath.

Mouth taping for sleep has only been explored in a few tiny scientific studies, so the advantages are mostly anecdotal at this moment. We go through how mouth taping works, what existing research says about it, how to tape your mouth securely, and what other choices are available to address your sleep problems.

How to Apply Mouth Tape in a Safe and Effective Manner

Because mouth taping is not a widely established procedure, consult your doctor before doing it. There are currently no clear rules on how to safely use mouth tape. Furthermore, the hazards of mouth taping without a doctor’s approval are unclear.

It’s a good idea to test the mouth strips throughout the day before using them for sleep. Mouth taping should be avoided if you have trouble breathing via your nose due to allergies, nasal polyps, or another reason.

Apply a food-safe gel or oil to the region around your mouth before adhering on the tape to reduce discomfort and remaining stickiness. Consider folding the tape over at one corner while applying it to make removal simpler in the morning.

If you are serious about experiencing Mouth Taping, you should get advice from a professional. CORE
