What is Vasper Technology?
Vasper is a breakthrough fitness system that uses patented technology to deliver high-intensity exercise benefits through low-impact movement. Perfect for all ages and fitness levels, Vasper combines three key elements:

What is High Intensity Exercise?
Vasper is a low-impact workout that produces the benefits of a high-intensity, prolonged exercise in just 21 minutes. It does this using patented technology that combines compression, circulation and cooling, making the benefits of high-intensity exercise accessible to everyone regardless of age or physical ability.
Anaerobic exercise is generally achieved only through short bursts of maximum intensity exercise (separated by periods of rest) such as lifting heavy weights or high-intensity interval training (sprinting).
Compression
Compression cuffs on the arms and legs help to quickly build up lactic acid. This is scientifically proven to mimick the effects of high-intensity excercise, while the body is working at a low-intensity. Fast-twitch muscle fibers are activated during compression by releasing 4 anabolic hormones: human growth hormone (HGH), testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF 1). These hormones help to increase metabolism, grow muscle and bone, improve adrenals and create a cascade of events to improve how the body functions.
Circulation
Vasper engages your circulatory system, increasing your overall blood flow and in turn, your blood-oxygen levels to a level normally experienced by high intensity, prolonged exercise. This results in the benefits of a strenuous workout in a short amout of time.
Cooling
When the body’s temperature heats up during normal exercise, blood flow is pushed towards the surface of the skin instead of fueling muscle cells. When this happens for too long, lactic acid builds up in the muscles and creates fatigue. Vasper keeps the body cool during exercise so that its blood oxygen levels remain high, muscles have the energy they need, and an individual will feel little to no physical stress or pain during the workout. When the Vasper is done, lactic acid is flushed out and there is no delayed onset muscle soreness as a result.

Vasper History
Early investigation for Vasper was inspired by the amazing ability of young children to quickly recover from injury without medical intervention.
Founded in 2009 by Peter Z. Wasowski, this unique and ‘out of the box’ technology is designed to provide the user with the health benefits of a anaerobic exercise in only a 20-minute workout session followed by a 10-minute rest with core-body cooling. The Vasper prototype was tested with exceptional results by more than 200 people in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Vasper was further tested by the San Jose Sharks National Hockey League team confirming the outstanding benefits for enhanced performance and post-exercise recovery. Vasper was evaluated by members of the 131st Rescue Squadron of the California Air National Guard who reported increased physical performance, higher alertness and improved quality of sleep.
Questions About Vasper System:
Some contraindications include the following:
Inflammatory phlebitis
Clinical signs suggestive of pulmonary embolus
Compromised blood flow through arteries ie arteriosclerosis (atherosclerosis), peripheral artery disease or other vascular ischemic disease
Any condition that may have resulted in impaired venous or lymphatic return
Significant vascular impairment in the extremities, for example, from prior frostbite, diabetes, arteriosclerosis or ischemia
Known hematological dyscrasias which affect thrombosis, for example, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, cryoglobulinemia, sickle cell disease, serum cold agglutinins.
Cold urticaria
Clients must seek medical advice and clearance from their physician in order to do a Vasper session. Until THE CLIENT(S) have clearance they will not be able to do a Vasper session.
There is over 30 years of data on the combination of technology the Vasper System uses. The Vasper system combines grounding, cooling, compression and cardiovascular technology to create the bio-mimicry system.
Our feedback from clients has been that the progress slowly ebbs away.
A good way to start is to try Vapser on off-days from training or other type of activities and see how your body responds.Some people feel like they have a better experience doing Vasper before working out while others feel the exact opposite. The Golden Rule for Vasper enthusiasts is to listen to their bodies.
Everyone experiences Vasper differently. How it will affect someone may not be how you experience it.
You want to work enough to get a good burn in your legs and arms. Work out hard enough to feel like you got a good workout, but not too hard to where you feel too exhausted. The trick is to feel the burn and get a good workout just enough to get the HGH release, but not so hard that you use up the HGH you just made in the workout.
Vasper can enhance your current activities but not replace it. Vasper can increase your perforamance but not improve your skill. It does not replace the specific exercises and training your body needs in additional to HGH to accell at any sport or activity. So Vasper is best used to enhance your performance not replace it completely.
Questions about Vasper at CORE:
Vasper is available Monday through Saturday at Santa Cruz CORE. The hours are 8am to 9pm with the last Vasper Session starting at 8:30pm. As our sessions fill and the Vasper System gets busier, we will be able to extend the hours to Sunday and open earlier on weekdays.
You can definitely use Vasper! After your initial three Vasper sessions you are able to purchase a package or sign up for a monthly Vasper contract. Of course you are not obligated to sign up on a monthly contract, however that is the most cost effective choice.
As a general rule, Vasper is not allowed to be used during the workout because it might conflict with the Vasper schedule. If you do wish to use Vasper during your session, you can if it is part of your first three sessions, or if permission is given by the personal trainer.
The biggest benefit to signing up for a membership is that you receive a discount on the Vasper Sessions. You also get 10% discount on products and supplements that Santa Cruz CORE offers as well as complimentary consultations for any of the other services Santa Cruz CORE offers.
