Dermal Fillers
Restore volume and contour to areas affected by aging, creating natural-looking results that enhance your facial structure and reduce signs of aging.
Neuromodulators
Smooth fine lines and prevent wrinkles with FDA-approved injectable treatments that relax targeted facial muscles for a refreshed, youthful appearance.
Botox is probably the most common and well-known neuromodulator out there. Botox helps to temporarily smoothen undesired facial wrinkles and folds to improve the overall appearance. Botox works by temporarily weakening or paralyzing muscles or nerves. Thanks to this effect, muscles of the face that would otherwise continue to fold up and wrinkle with facial expressions, become smooth and unaffected, yielding a more youthful look.
Platelet-Rich Fibrin
Harness your body’s natural healing power with our advanced Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) facial treatment. This all-natural procedure uses your own blood platelets to stimulate collagen production and accelerate tissue regeneration for a more youthful, radiant complexion.
Applied through micro-needling or injection, PRF promotes cellular renewal and improves skin texture while reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scarring. Since PRF comes from your own body, it’s completely biocompatible with minimal risk of adverse reactions.
The treatment encourages your skin’s natural repair processes for long-lasting results that continue improving over weeks and months, delivering firmer, smoother, and more luminous skin through natural regeneration.
Red Light Therapy with Near Infrared
Red light therapy with near infrared (NIR) is a non-invasive treatment that penetrates deep into skin cells to stimulate natural healing and renewal from within.
Therapeutic light wavelengths help boost cellular energy production, increase collagen synthesis, and improve blood circulation, resulting in reduced inflammation, diminished fine lines, and enhanced skin tone and texture. Patients enjoy a more radiant, youthful complexion with improved elasticity and firmness.
This comfortable, painless treatment requires no downtime while delivering cumulative benefits with each session. Red light therapy naturally accelerates your skin’s repair processes, helping to minimize acne, reduce redness, and promote an overall healthy glow.
At Santa Cruz CORE, we use RedVive devices which emit the highest amount of irradiance, and multi-wave spectral output to provide deeper penetration and faster results. You can read more about their devices here!

Harness your body’s natural healing power with platelet-rich plasma treatments that stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture, tone, and elasticity.
Vampire facials (PRP facials) are popular due to great results and perhaps a peculiar nickname. This facial uses the patient’s own blood to centrifuge high levels of platelets, which are then injected back into the skin.
By injecting a high concentration of the patient’s own platelets back into the skin, a physician is able to stimulate regeneration and a more youthful appearance.
Dr. Grady D.O. offers safe and effective Facial Rejuvination Injections, which are a non-surgical cosmetic treatment to reduce wrinkles, increase facial health and appearance, and reduce signs of aging. Our prolotherapy treatments are safe, effective, and available at Santa Cruz CORE facilities in Santa Cruz and Watsonville.

Name: Peggy Humphries, RN Title: Licensed Esthetician, Registered Nurse
Peggy Humphries, RN, entered the field of medical aesthetics at the request of her long-time skincare clients, who sought more advanced treatments as their skin needs evolved. An esthetician since 2004, Peggy began her academic journey at Cabrillo College, earning her Associate of Science degree in 2016 with Honors in Liberal Arts and Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies. During her time at Cabrillo, she was also awarded the prestigious Beth Blanchette Scholarship in Sciences.
Driven by a passion for patient care, Peggy enrolled in an accelerated nursing program in Minnesota in September 2017, graduating in December 2018. She received her California Registered Nurse license in February 2019. Even before completing nursing school, Peggy had already begun exploring medical aesthetics. True to her ambitious nature, she officially launched her aesthetics practice in April 2019, training alongside a local physician while pursuing additional coursework and shadowing opportunities with other medical providers.
In March 2020, Peggy advanced her expertise by securing an exceptional apprenticeship with a highly respected physician and educator who has been a leader in the field for more than 15 years. Training one day per week in his practice while continuing to serve clients in her Santa Cruz location, she expanded her clinical knowledge and refined her skills under his mentorship.
Peggy remains committed to ongoing professional development, regularly attending advanced trainings, conferences, and mentorship programs to ensure she is offering the most effective and innovative treatments to her clients.
When she is not working, Peggy enjoys spending time with her beloved six-year-old granddaughter or walking peacefully through the forest.

GET PRP + MICRO-NEEDLING
Santa Cruz CORE does business management for the professional medical corporation. The professionals utilize nontoxic and innovative approaches to resolving cosmetic issues brought on by aging, sun exposure, scarring, acne, and more. Increase collagen, decrease discoloration with the “PRP + Micro-needling” or try healthier alternate injectables to remove fine lines and wrinkles. This process is more advanced than the ‘vampire facials’ and can treat the face or the scalp!
We are trained and certified in Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and facial rejuvenation including Botox and Dermal Fillers for your skin
Questions about Medical Aesthetics:
As one ages, the skin loses elasticity and the ability to produce collagen. The injections received during PRP and a vampire facelift come from your own body and help to stimulate that collagen. The cytokines and growth factors are what work to improve skin health, and other than a topical pain cream, drugs and non-natural chemicals are not used. These injections are not foreign substances and are made using your body’s own blood components, and are considered safe.
Those that are experiencing signs of aging in their skin such as fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, or pigmentation disorders (such as hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation), would benefit from facial rejuvenation. As cells age, the speed of their production decreases, including the production of collagen. This will cause signs of natural aging, which when combined with sun damage and improper care, can contribute to poor skin health. By using PRP injections to re-stimulate the body’s collagen and healing processes again, the skin becomes more healthy and elastic.
First, the physician will extract your blood; the blood is processed in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets and growth factors, in the end producing PRP (platelet-rich plasma). The doctor will then use a “microneedle” to create channels within the skin to stimulate the wound into a healing response. Using the microneedle, the patient’s own PRP is stamped into the skin and distributed throughout these channels–this is a fairly quick and painless process. By “tricking” the skin into thinking it has been wounded, new cells and collagen are produced to create healthier, smoother skin!
Most recovery times last only 1-2 days after receiving treatment. You may experience redness of the skin on your face and/or neck, similar to a sunburn, following treatment. However, this fades away and you will see results over the course of a few weeks.
After 1-2 days of downtime, during which time you may experience redness, bruising, swelling, and pinpoint bleeding, your skin will start to look normal again and begin processing the treatment. You may see results within a few weeks, yet changes will continue to develop for several months after the procedure.
Facial rejuvenation services are not covered by insurance because, as an area of prolotherapy, it is still considered investigational and needs further scientific evidence to support its effectiveness. For pricing, please call our front desk at 831.425.9500.
