What Do You Need in a Personal Trainer?
CORE's functional, integrative model is what sets us apart from any other gyms or wellness center. Old injuries, accidents, desk jobs, commutes, and busy schedules cause us to feel deactivated and disconnected from our bodies. We want to move and get back to optimal health, but our bodies and minds resist. Pain, fatigue, and physical restrictions discourage us, and understandably so.
Santa Cruz CORE breaks the cycle with our extensive experience, knowledge, and cutting-edge technology to get you results. We help you change your life.
CORE's Personal Training Screenings
The first step in CORE's personal training is to schedule an initial health consultation with one of the highly skilled professionals at CORE, who will get a full health history and screening.
Our individualized programs are molded from the experience and knowledge of all of our practitioners, a knowledge base that produces timely and healthy results.
We provide consultations free of charge with the primary goal of determining the needs of the individual, this is our time to listen to you. Once we determine your functional state we design a program specific to the individual. Your trainer is your partner, your guide, mentor and support system on your journey to optimal health and fitness.
Functional Movement Screening
A Functional Movement Screening (FMS). An FMS is a valuable test instrument we use to interpret the body movement, posture, and range of motion results to translate into a recommended course of action. This process provides an injury-free path to a healthy and balanced fitness plan.
Elite Fitness Assessment
An Elite Fitness Assessment includes range of motion and muscle length testing as well as postural analysis. It is a step up from the Functional Movement Assessment because it dives deeper into the issues of each joint in the body, not just movement patterns.
Some exercises and soft tissue work may be done as well.
WE TAKE INSURANCE!
- Corrective Exercises

- Sports Performance
At Santa Cruz CORE, we offer specialized programs that ensure optimal sports performance programs. Each person, and sport, has specialized needs and therefore require a specialized program. Our instructors will meet with you and assess your needs as an athlete. After, they will develop a specific plan especially designed to your needs.
- Weight Loss
