Here at Santa Cruz CORE we pride ourselves not only in helping our clients achieve their goals, but helping our clients achieve their goals efficiently and safely. Everyone has different goals and everyone has different bodies. Not all plans work for the same people and, unlike other gyms, we do not like to throw people into a standard workout regime that worked for other people but might not be right or even flat out dangerous for you to perform. Therefore, we use the S.F.M.A. or “Selected Functional Movement Assessment,” to assess each client's unique movement patterns, asymmetries, and stability/motor control reflexes to determine what plan is right for him or her.
CORE45: Functional Fitness Group Training
Join our community and get ready to live your best life! Through our 45 minutes of intensity and 15 minutes of myofascial release and corrective exercise, you will come away from this workout feeling great while staying injury free.
Based on principles of science around self-care, function and community we have found that group fitness is paramount to an individual’s success. CORE 45 is scientifically designed to increase function, strength and endurance. This circuit style class includes high intensity interval training with periodization throughout the week.
Classes are offered daily! Sessions are customized with regressions and progressions to accommodate all fitness levels. Sessions are 5-10 people to provide for 1-1 attention and focus!

Semi Private Training Booking Policies
While Santa Cruz CORE wants to offer as many SPT classes and options as possible to work with our clients' flexible schedules, we do ask that you respect our practitioners time when signing up for your SPT classes. Please Note: A class that has 0 enrolled participants 24 hours prior to the class start time will NOT be held. You must sign up for a class in order to ensure that it will be held. Showing up to a class that had no participants pre-enrolled will result in NO SPT Class.
We offer a maximum of 5 clients per class to ensure that each client will be able to get the optimum amount of individual attention he/she deserves throughout the workout. If a class that you are interested in enrolling in is full, you may sign up for the “waitlist.” If another client chooses to cancel their appointment, the first person on the waitlist will be notified of the opening (and so on and so forth). Santa Cruz CORE is committed to providing all of our clients with exceptional care. When a client cancels without giving enough notice, they prevent another client from being see. Please give at least 24 hours notice when cancelling an appointment

If you have not yet completed a Functional Movement Screen with a certified CORE Personal trainer, please read “Protecting Your Health and Well-Being” above. If you have completed and passed your F.M.S. with a CORE Personal Trainer, you may sign up for SPT classes online by creating a Santa Cruz CORE account here or by simply calling the front desk at (831) 425-9500.
