Here at Santa Cruz CORE we pride ourselves not only in helping our clients achieve their goals, but helping our clients achieve their goals efficiently and safely. Everyone has different goals and everyone has different bodies. Not all plans work for the same people and, unlike other gyms, we do not like to throw people into a standard workout regime that worked for other people but might not be right or even flat out dangerous for you to perform. Therefore, we use the S.F.M.A. or “Selected Functional Movement Assessment,” to assess each client's unique movement patterns, asymmetries, and stability/motor control reflexes to determine what plan is right for him or her.
Santa Cruz CORE is a great place to fix pain, but we are also strong believers in preventing pain. Therefore, before enrolling in any SPT classes, clients must undergo a Functional Movement Screen to make sure they are on the correct path for his/her goals. Semi-Private Training is a unique opportunity to experience personal training customized to your needs, in a small group setting. These classes differ from large, impersonal, group classes you may find at other gyms because we have found that a trainer can care and attend to each individual’s needs much more effectively at a maximum of 5 people per session. Each session usually follows a theme, such as “Cardio, Legs, Arms and Shoulders, Etc,” and with over 30 appointments a week to choose from, you can customize your personal fitness plan based on what interests you and what is best for your schedule!
