Omelets… A breakfast tradition. The good thing about food, however, is the ability to adjust ingredients to create something SUPER nutritious. A skinny omelet is a great way to include a lot of healthy ingredients in to something that is hand-held and great for on-the-go.

Salad Greens, Eggs, and Pesto are some yummy additions to a crepe thin hand-held omelet. Get the recipe HERE.

2. Overnight Oats

Sometimes you are just in too big of a rush to make a good and healthy breakfast that will keep you energized all through the day. In these cases, a little bit of prep will go a LONG way.

Soaking your oats reduces phytic acid which binds with minerals and then strips them out of your body when not neutralized. This can cause bone loss, tooth decay, mineral deficiency and inhibits enzymes that are needed to digest food. By soaking them you increase your ability to absorb and digest the nutrients in you breakfast as well as ensuring robust good health.

3. Avo Toast

Serious question here: Is there anything easier in the morning that toast? We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that’s a big N-O. But, with a little bit of elevation, one can have a delicious, easy, and HEALTHY slice of toast. Keeping it easy, we suggest combing whole grain toast, with some Avocado. Still, you’ll need a bit of cream… Try goat cheese. It’s smooth, and easier on the tummy than most full lactose cheeses. A little bit of salt and pepper, and you’re good to go. Talk about a easy and yummy!

Most healthy food stores carry gluten free options for those of you concerned about that. And for you spice lovers (like myself), a couple drops of Siracha will do the trick.

In a season of resolutions, breakfast is at the very top of the list. With these easy solutions, it’ll be a piece of cake.
