Sports Chiropractic
Sports ChiroTherapy ™ - Our Healing Philosophy
What is Sports ChiroTherapy™?
Santa Cruz CORE is home to the founder of Sports ChiroTherapy™, Chiropractor Rhodes Walton, D.C..
Step 1: Hanson Manual Therapy
The core theory of HMT is that muscular imbalance is the cause of injuries and decreased performance. HMT utilizes patient muscle feedback with indicator muscle testing to select the primary points of treatment for each individual condition. HMT is unique in that it combines acupressure meridian lines, muscle testing, and trigger point therapy to create a comprehensive soft tissue technique. www.fixpainhmt.com
Step 2: Chiropractic
Reestablishing structural symmetry and function with manual and applied adjustments. Chiropractic functions to improve nerve pathways to neuromuscular connections.
Step 3: Selective Functional Movement Assessment
SFMA is designed to break down the fundamentals of proper movement and to develop a specified exercise program to help re-establish authentic movement, strength, and coordination. Poor movement can exist anywhere in the body, but the brain is responsible for the poor movement patterns. www.sfma.com
Clinical Services and Treatment
The initial appointment consists of three parts:

Follow-up visits will be based on individual progress with performance and ability. It is our goal to break the cycle of chronic injury and establish a long lasting platform of stability, enabling the patient to return to optimal performance independent of us. We work with the team of practitioners and recommend massage, corrective exercise, personal training, and acupuncture as appropriate.

Dr. Isabel Eden, D.C. has had a deep calling to be in the world of healing. It was her experience with a chiropractor that led her down a path of discovery about her own healing and the human body that would change the course of her life. During her initial visit, she first learned of the body’s innate intelligence and it’s inherent wisdom. This was something she had a sense about, but had never heard it explained to her that way before. She knew instantly that she was in the right place. Shortly after stepping foot in that office, she began her journey to becoming a Chiropractor.
Dr. Isabel received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West in 2018. In addition to chiropractic, Dr. Isabel has trained in Reiki, trigger point therapy, cranial sacral therapy, perinatal and pediatric chiropractic, and is Webster certified through the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association).
She is a lifelong student and loves learning about anything related to the body and nervous system. She also enjoys playing tennis, spending time in nature and doing yoga.
Dr. Isabel sees her role as a Chiropractor as a facilitator of your healing journey. She is passionate about guiding people to connect to their body and their own true nature within.
