Self Affirmations
Today, take some time to practice your self-affirmation. Self-affirmation is the act of affirming one’s own worthiness and value as an individual. The purpose is to boost confidence, self-esteem, motivation, and fight anxiety and depression. Times are tough, and we could all benefit from a little self-to-self pep talk. Take a minute alone and speak aloud (or in your head) some positive things about yourself. Lay on the praise. Get braggy if you want. This moment is for you and you alone. Self affirmations can also be incorporated into your daily mindfulness meditation routine.

Waste not want not.
Ever bought some root vegetables with the greens still attached? Think twice before discarding them! Many common veggies have leaves that are not only edible but delicious as well! Beet, radish, and broccoli leaves have a taste similar to kale and can be used as such in salads and sautés. Similarly, the stems of broccoli and cauliflower can be cooked and seasoned along with the flowered heads. Using the secondary edible parts of veggies is a great way to cut down on waste and explore new recipes!
Arms, Arms, Arms!
Give triceps a try with today’s arm exercises! Stand with feet wide, holding a dumbbell (or any easily held heavy object) with both hands in front of the chest. Engage abs and bring arms overhead, biceps next to ears. Bend elbows and lower the weight behind head down to shoulders. Raise arms overhead to return to start. Do 20 reps, rest, and repeat for 5 minutes straight!
